Dangerous Hand Sanitizers on the Market – FDA Recalls
What should protect you may now hurt you, as hundreds of hand sanitizer products have been recalled by the Food & Drug Administration, and labeled potentially harmful. FDA is warning consumers and health care professionals about certain products that have been tested and found to contain Methanol and other unapproved ingredients. Other products had an insufficient amount of Ethyl Alcohol (less than 60%), making them ineffective in killing 99% of germs as purported by the label copy.
