USA May Have Had COVID-19 Cases Earlier Than We Think
UCLA researchers analyzed over 10 million records studying visits to hospitals in Los Angeles between the months of December and February. The study shows a 50% increase of hospital visits related to coughing compared to the previous 5 years. According to an article published on the institution’s website, this study “demonstrates the importance of analyzing electronic health records to monitor and quickly identify irregular changes in patient populations.”
